Coach House - Northampton, United Kingdom 0 star hotel

Address: 8-10 East Park Parade, Kettering Road, Northampton, NN1 4LE
Coach House details:  Three beautiful 19th-century Victorian houses make the Coach House a very special place to visit when in Northampton. The hotel has built its reputation on friendly service and has earned the 'Les Routiers' award for quality.

The Coach House Hotel is situated in a very popular location in Northampton with private parking at the rear of the hotel for our guests.
Overlooking the old racecourse which holds the Famous Balloon Festival every year, you could not get closer to the action; you can even see the balloons take off from some of the rooms at the hotel.
If cricket is your sport or interest, the Northampton County Cricket Club is just a short 5 minute walk away and of course we are always playing host to guests that travel to Sliverstone for the Formula 1 Racing every year.
Being situated approximately one mile from Northampton town centre, we are so close to The Royal and Derngate Theatres that an evening in town is made to be so easy.
We offer quality, value for money and a warm friendly welcome.

I stayed in Northampton last July for an academic conference at the local university. Being my first time in England, I didn't know what to expect. When I got to the hotel around midnight--due to some problems with my flight--the young man with the mustache who claims to be cockney, hehe, not only warmly welcomed me in and got me set up, but he even offered me a late dinner. I've never had such a friendly staff. The gentleman at breakfast the next day tried to convince me to eat the black pudding--no thanks says this American--but pleasantly served my cereal and coffee anyways. Okay so the rooms aren't luxurious and the shower in the corner of the room is sort of funny--also another culture shock--but the cold beer in a warm reception area and the friendly faces waiting upon my arrival each day made this place a fantastic experience. I would, without hesitation, go there again.

The Coach House was close to where I needed to be in Northampton and had a good parking facility at the rear of the building. The room I stayed in was very spacious but could do with being modernised, it made me feel like I was back in the 80's again! The staff were very friendly which is always important to me. I was very impressed with the breakfast in the morning and there was a good selection on offer including a traditional English breakfast cooked superbly! I enjoyed my stay and shall return again in August.
