we were booked in to stay as part of an anniversary celebration. On arrival we were shown to our room. We had been warned that it was small and so this came as no surprise.
What was surprising (no shocking actually) was the filthy bathrobes hanging up for us to wear. I haven't seen collars so black since I last had to wash rugby shirts!
I think the concept of a spa with rooms is great and the design of the rooms equally imaginative. What lets it down is the standard and quality of finish throughout the place. I wondered if this hotel was where Heath Robinson learned his trade!!
Having pre-booked and paid for spa treatments, I felt again a bit disappointed that the times I had booked were not the times I was given. The treatments were very expensive and yet I had no sense of being indulged, rather I was on a conveyor belt with no more or less than my allotted time. I appreciate that this is the case in any spa yet this place has been the only one to make me feel this way.
I think that Le Spa needs to take some lessons in how to do it right before they think of doing anything else!

Visited with a friend for a pamper day.
Reception alovely but that is where it stopped!
No staff around in the gym for advice
Ladies changing area very small, showers and toilets old and dirty, one shower completely blocked with hairs! No complimentary toiletries, towels and robes seen better days.
Access to hot tubs is through the dining area which is not good for those eating or those going to the hot tubs.
Went for complimentary facial, was not asked skin type so ended up with products which made skin sting. then followed a head massage which seemed to include having oil poured all in my hair (we had showered prior to this so we wouldn't wash what we thought were going to be nice products off our faces) then a very basic bit of massage.
Very disappointed and am glad we had not paid full price for the day!
