This is without doubt the worst hotel I have ever checked into. I took one look at the room and told the manager/owner that I would not be staying. This hotel brings shame on the UK hotel establishment. The sooner the management is changed and the place closed down, the better. The current owners should be ashamed. The whole place is discusting, filthy and a disgrace. The attitude of the management is the worst thing about it - they just do not care. Probably because they will be without a job soon anyway.

I booked into the Lismore, the room was tiny but it was the bathroom that was a problem - dirty toilet and not very clean. I requested another room - which was about 6 inches larger. Unfortunately the bathroom was worse than the first. The toilet was again filthy, the bath had large rust marks and the black double glazing bit on the windows was green. I had not unpacked and went to reception and left the key, saying I cannot stay here. As I turned my back to go out the man on reception (not sure if he was the owner) then said to me do not come back here - do you hear me. I am a lone female, there was nobody about so I just left, got in my car and drove home (about 70 miles). I would advise any lone females not to book into this hotel.
