London Bridge Hotel address: 8-18 London Bridge St, London, SE1 9SG

London Bridge Hotel details: The independently owned, 4 star London Bridge Hotel is a contemporary yet comfortable place to stay. It is in an ideal location on the edge of the City of London.

The hotel site has a heritage which dates back to Roman Britain when the area was already at the centre of links with Europe - both in commerce and communications. The hotel has 138 air conditioned bedrooms with a range of facilities which make this an attractive choice for business as well as leisure guests. All rooms have been refurbished in a contemporary yet comfortable style and have a large flat screen television, radio, high speed internet access, voicemail, a DDI line, fibre optic reading lights, duvet, mini-bar, hairdryer, trouser press, iron and board, large safe and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel provides five conference rooms for meetings or private dining for 8-100 people. All are available with the latest audio-visual equipment, high speed internet and ISDN lines for video conferencing. The hotel's Londinium restaurant with its contemporary design, blended with red suede furnishings and rich brown walnut floors is open for dinner, serving a variety of British and Mediterranean dishes from 5.30pm which is perfect for that pre theatre meal. Londinium is also open daily for breakfast. Georgetown restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and offers the varied cuisines of the Malaysian Malays, Chinese Mandarin and Tamil Indians all under one roof. Adjacent to the hotel is the stylish Borough Bar, which provides a more informal ambiance for wining and dining.

Date: 30th December 2007 Trip Advisor Member from Dunstable, England This was our second visit to the London Bridge Hotel. We asked for a free upgrade but the hotel was fully booked. We had a small room which was comfortable, clean and well furnished but if you can stretch your budget book a deluxe room which are more spacious. It is a lovely quite hotel tucked away at the back of London Bridge main line station and in a superb position to explore the South Bank of the Thames and it is very easy to go further afield with transport links on the doorstep. The breakfast is great and there are a few shops around the hotel for any essentials and the main line station has good shops too. We will definitely make a third visit to this hotel.

We were booked into this hotel as part of a New Year package, and wouldnt have normally stayed in this part of London - but it was a great hotel in a good location. Couple of minutes walk from the Tube (London Bridge), although the first time is a bit confusing due to the various exits - just head toward London Bridge itself. Reception staff were welcoming and efficient. Room was nicely furnished, spacious and clean. Nice clean bathroom - with bath and shower. The room was very warm - I didnt discover the air con switch until the second night. doh! - but the windows opened for fresh air. Our room was on the first floor at the front of the hotel and despite the closeness of the train and bus stations it was surprisingly quiet. Only room problem was on the second night the weather turned quite windy and the flag poles below our room rattled noisily. I mentioned it on checking out and the receptionist noted it down, so hopefully they'll be secured. Breakfast was good - choice of hot and cold buffets - and friendly and efficient restaurant staff. Didn't spend too much time in the immediate area but there were plenty of shops and bars nearby. And there's a very good chip shop on the corner! A good experience and I'm sure we will be staying here again.
