Folkestone, CT20 3AH
The Ship Inn details:
This strong community pub in the village of Sandgate offers accommodation in an adjacent early Victorian seafront cottage.
The 6 available rooms are all furnished and decorated to a luxurious standard, with en suite facilities. The cottage at The Ship Inn is south facing and located on the seafront, with 2 of the rooms offering outstanding sea views – on a clear day, the views of France are particularly special.
Only a 5-minute drive from the Channel Tunnel and 16 minutes from the port of Dover, The Ship Inn is known for the quality and range of real ales, as well as its home cooked food. It has been run by the same licensee for the past 24 years.
The Ship Inn is in the centre of the village of Sandgate, approximately 1.6 km (one mile) west of Folkestone on the A259. The village has a strong community feel, which you will experience as soon as you walk in. Styled as a nice pub, for nice people, it also has an extensive wine list which would appeal to even the greatest wine buff.
Parade Cottage, the adjacent Victorian building where the accommodation is housed, has been totally gutted and restored to a very high standard. All rooms have been decorated and furnished to offer luxurious accommodation with en suite facilities.
Breakfast is served in the courtyard or on the terrace, offering incredible views of the sea and, on a clear day, France.
The Ship Inn strives to offer you an experience, with a personal touch.
