We have just returned from Aviemore which is a truly stunning taste of Scotland. We did have issues with our hotel though!
As regular visitors to Aviemore, we normally stay in the chalets but this time we decided to stay in the hotel where we normally dine anyway. Firstly, the room is nothing like the one pictured on the website-it reminded us of an old folks home. The bathroom was poor, shabby towel heater and orange lino floor!!!! The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in and there was a very bad smell of stale smoke in the room, we had to go to the supermarket to purchase Febreeze!
We don't plan on staying in this hotel again and feel rather ripped off, thats the scottish tourist industry for you though.........
