having booked a luxury room ,we were aghast to be taken up to the third floor past threadbare carpet and dirty walls to be shown a room which was not only basic (ie a bed) but also extremely dirty.Stains on the carpet , masonary dust around the edges of the room and dirty bedding and the smell of a 1000 ashtrays.
There were however two clean towells on the bed so the room was obviously clean by their standards I guess.Obviously not able to stay in this room we were then told no other was available and we were still charged for the room despite the fact that we had pointed this out to the hotel staff!!Ignore any website or leaflet information as picture may as well be from a different hotel.

An extremely dated hotel which really isn't worth spending £100 per night on. There are so many other lovely places to stay in Bournemouth, my advice would be to give this a miss. Our television looked like something out of the 1960s and didn't even work and we were staying in a so called "executive" room??!!!! It was extremely noisy and really not up to scratch. We ate at the Sunday carvery about a year ago and were really impressed with the food so we thought we'd stay here....but never again. We would go back to eat there but the rooms really need a total revamp.
