Booked directly with the Hotel into an Executive Suite at ?110 B & B.
The attraction was the Kingsized bed, the problem was that there was virtually no room to get past one corner because of table with TV....had to leave a light on all night just to see the way. There is a small lounge nicely furnished and a small bar area.
I found the staff generally helpful but they cannot help the slow deterioration of the common parts.
The room was no better than OK and there was only a shower where the tap was stuck on cold. It took me a few minutes to work that one out to get a lukewarm slow shower.
Breakfast was so ordinary....a choice of cereals with semi-skimmed milk (no skimmed) a few juices and some tinned fruit.
Cooked to order food was available and was fine. No cheeses or fresh fruit on offer.
It appears that they are waiting for planning to turn the hotel into a de-luxe and trendy Boutique Hotel so I guess that is where they will spend their money.

We stayed overnight in order to fully enjoy a family party taking place in the Function Room.
The Suite was best described as "sweet" - but not luxury.
Victorian Air Conditioning worked - open the windows!
The Function Room Bar provided a whole new experience.
Drinks in flimsy plastic glasses. - industry norm' would be rigid if you have to use plastic.
When real glasses were requested, the response was not in the downstairs bar.
The reasons were various but security was No.1.
"We cater for a lot of stag groups, 18th & 21st Birtthday Parties."
Our Function was a 40th Party - no problem there!
The all male parties staying at the hotel were drinking in the Hotel Bar with real glassses. When we used this bar for service, we were told you cannot have glasses as you are downstairs.
The Function Room bar had only 2 Beers on Draught - both premium strength lagers. Now that's a security risk!
The buffet for 50 appeared but luckily we were half that number as that just about catered for us. Well done on extreme food costing.
Next morning breakfast service was slow, and I'm still digesting the sausage.
Value for money in todays market - NOT!
Private Function Customer Service - BAFFLING!
