My wife and I stayed at the Days Inn, Oxford for one night whilst visiting the city. We booked directly with the Days Inn website but then found a cheaper rate with Laterooms so submitted a claim under the Days Inn 'Best Rate Guarantee'. The claim was approved, meaning our first (and only) night of the stay was free! The hotel is very easy to find, being part of the Welcome Break service area at Junction 8a of the M40. Check-in was a breeze, the member of staff on reception acknowledging that the stay was free. The room was, as you would expect, fairly basic and similar to those found at Travelodge. It was perfectly clean and had a few little 'extras' that Travelodge don't provide such as a hairdryer, trouser press, shower gel and even some shortbread to go with your tea or coffee! We were not disturbed by any traffic noise and slept well in the comfortable bed. We used the nearby Thornhill Park & Ride and got the bus into the city which cost ?4 return for both of us. The hotel served it's purpose very well for our brief visit to Oxford.

Using my GPS to find this place was easy. It is adjacent to the Motorway rest stop service center. Very convinient to get provision and grub. Parking is shared with service center. A bit out of Oxford city center, but easy to get in and out of Oxford to London. Large family room (double bed room the same). Got to give it a three star, because the sofa, chair and carpet were filthy with stains. Not sure and don't want to think about the bed cover. Well lighted, small bathroom and shower, but clean. Small tv, as usual in England with limited channel selections. Good price and so far the roomiest of all. Internet available 24 hours in lobby at a cost, but not in the room.
