Having emailed and telephoned my booking through and speaking to the owner (Tracy), (I booked a double ensuite for 2 adults), when I arrived I was told the room was a 3/4 bed with a private bathroom on the landing opposite? We couldnt be bothered to argue, were told we had paid a reduced rate? Please update your website if this is the case. Breakfast was a little on the mean side, 1 rasher of bacon (COME ON 4*), decided on no beans next day, got 2 rashers? All in all very disappointed for a 4*. The decor is very pleasant and clean through out, but would not recommend because of the mix up with our booking. Owner Tracy did leave a bottle of wine in our room whether this is left for all guests or just as a way of apolgising I do not know, I did not ask. Towels only changed after 3 days (house rule?), but room cleaned every day. Enjoyed our trip to Skegness which is a lovely place and the fountaindale is very close to the centre but on a quiet street set back from the front.

Just had a midweek stay at the Fountaindale in Skegness, I was very surprised with the impressive high standard of the accomadation and service. I booked bed and breakfast but ended up having homemade evening meals, this was excellent value for money due to the higher prices of the town. The central location was perfect and the car park avalibility was superb. i have stayed at many low profile hotels due to my on the move job and in my whole experience i have never been so comfortable away from home. will DEFINATLY be returning back with my family.
