Just come back from staying at the claremont for the bank holiday weekend. Excellent value for money once again. This must be our tenth visit. One thing I did notice this time was the amount of time spent waiting for the lift, the hotel was busy and as we were on the third floor, this took up a lot of our time. Perhaps they should look into installing a second one. The food once again could not be faulted. One thing I would critise just a little was the lack of entertainment on the sunday night. I think all staff do an excellent job and I must give a mention to Kamil our waiter who couldnt do enough for us. Will be back there during the summer I'm sure.
Me and my 14 month old daughter have just returned from a 5 night midweek stay here (great value at ?175 inc seaview, dinner, B&B, free use of leisure facilities, etc). Food excellent, plenty to choose from. (Special mention to Justyna the waitress who was lovely.) Rooms clean and spacious enough, towels and tea/coffee replenished daily. Didn't attend the cabaret nights so can't comment. The hotel was full all week and was mainly pensioners but I expected that on a midweek break. They were all very friendly to us anyway and most of them have been coming back to the Claremont year after year so the hotel must be doing something right. The pool area is great and has a sauna, sunbed and spa pool. We tended to swim around 4pm and there was nobody else in it most times. Clean towels are available so no need to take your own, and there's separate changing rooms. If you do have a complaint (and I didn't) then the staff are more than willing to hear about it and do something about it wherever possible. (I know this as I overhead one guest checking out who had a minor complaint and the manager was concerned he hadn't raised it during his stay so they could sort it. It turned out she knocked 10% off his bill and the guest was more than happy with this.)
My only slightly negative comment is the lift is a bit of a pain and there were no coat hooks anywhere in our room, but this in no way interfered with the overall enjoyment of our stay.
I would recommend the Claremont no problem. We are going to back to Blackpool in September for the weekend and won't stay anywhere else now. It's booked already!
