Took ages to book in as there was a long que. Where as the room was clean it was basic with small TV (no remote) and limited toiletries. WiFI access was incredable expensive. Eat in the bistro and wish we hadn't, they had run out of many items on the agenda. I was in a party of 7 and all the food was served seperatly, by the time my starter had come some were already on their main course. The quality of the food was of a very low standard No draft lager (again run out) cans instead, these were warm and again ran out by mid evening This combined with surly or careless staff would lead me to encourage you to choose an alternative budget hotel. Having read some reviews on the internet, I was unsure of what to expect but the Purple Hotel exceeded all my expectations. Unlike other 'budget' hotels Purple hotel provides breakfast and evening meals if you require them. Breakfast was the biggest selection I have seen, and the fish and chips were great, only waited 20 mins for them. The room was really modern and comfortable, best nights sleep I've had in a hotel. Ok, the location is not great in terms of view of the road but you could not hear any noise and I was on business not vacation so the view wasn't high on the list of priorities!! In terms of ease, it's two minutes from the M6 and I will definately stay there again.
