RESTAURANT REVIEW
We have eaten many times here and have very good experiences. This time service very poor, young and forgetful staff. Partisan service for table of staff and atmosphere of school dining room with girls running around.
Food top notch as usual, service spoiled evening.
Maybe look to foreign nationals when employing staff - they understand the concept of professional service, etiquette and volume!

Stayed over for two nights recently. Room adequate, bed was large and comfortable. The complimentary toiletries were a lovely touch. We made use of the tea/coffee facilities as well as the mini bar. The reception staff were very polite and efficient at check in and out. The housekeeping staff were also very good and came in twice a day to make up the room and leave you lovely, soft, fresh towels.
We ordered a continental breakfast each for our last morning and realised we probably only needed one between the two of us as the tray contained: cornflakes, milk, sugar, orange juice, two Danish pastries, yogurt and fresh fruit. It was delicious and a real treat to have breakfast in bed.
The only negative comment was that our room faced into the shopping centre complex (The Mailbox) and there was a jazz band playing all afternoon - so ask for a different room location if you are after a peaceful siesta!
We will try this chain again, maybe in Edinburgh next; and would return to the Birmingham one too.
