This would be fine if it did actually cost an average of ?50 as it says on this website but our room cost ?120 which for a small room with the smallest possible double bed and a small bathroom which was simply not acceptable.
The view out of the window (that didn't open) was also fairly depressing but then I would recommend staying outside Wooler in the countryside where it is a lot prettier than this very average town.
The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good and it is a reasonable old coaching inn but it is an ?80 a night place not ?120.

A good sized room, which was very clean. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. I stayed one night while walking St Cuthbert's Way, and hope to stay again one day.
