My partner and I stayed for one night only(thankfully) over the last bank holiday weekend and were incredibly disappointed with the standard of accommodation. We were booked into the 'bridal suite' so thought that we'd have the best room in the hotel. However, the room was dirty - there was a hair in the bath which the owner spotted and removed when he showed us to the room. We also found hair grips and a nicotine patch from a previous occupant on the carpet. The toilet roll in the room was also inexplicably wet. Generally the furniture and decoration in the whole hotel was grubby. The room also had a bizarre layout - you walked straight into the bathroom when you entered the room so there was no privacy when bathing - not that we bathed because of the standard of hygiene. For what it was it was also very expensive - ?65 for the worst hotel stay we've ever had.
