Located in the main hotel building, Purdey's Restaurant has recently won an AA rosette for the quality of the food and service. It has been refurbished in the style of an old mill, with oak floors, original stone and water features creating an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. As a feature there is an original cannon used to test gunpowder in the last century. Friendly service and attention to detail ensure a wonderful dining experience. After your meal, retire to Hobson's Bar with its comfortable seating beside a gentle fountain water feature.
The Terrace Restaurant:
Overlooking the luxurious pool is the Bistro style Terrace Restaurant & Café-Bar. The comfortable lounge area is a relaxing social venue with an informal atmosphere. Outside on the patio, tables at the water's edge offer marvellous views and are an idyllic setting for summer barbeques.
Wainwrights Inn Traditional Lakeland Pub:
A short, pleasant walk from the Estate to Chapel Stile brings you to Wainwrights' Inn, a traditional Lakeland Pub with stone flagged floors, open fires and real ale. Originally part of a 200 year old Cumbrian farmhouse, it has been carefully restored and decorated retaining many local antiques and curiosities.
