Sono stato molto deluso della gran parte delle recensioni dei nostri amici americani ( che prediliggono quasi sempre camere ampie in hotel molto spesso immensi ma rumorosi e arredati senza stile o meglio imitazioni di hotels europei).Il des augustins posso confermarvi che è uno tra i migliori hotels della citta: pulito, confortevole e con aria condizionata veramente funzionante, ambiente molto intimo e silenzioso in pieno centro a due passi dalla rotonda e dal cour mirabeau e soprattutto originale come architettura e arredi non una copia all'americana. Il personale è cordiale e disponibile in qualsiasi momento della giornata. Servizio di conciergerie notturno molto efficiente. L'ambiente è leggermente claustrale ma per chi vuole la pace è il top, secondo solo al Mas d'Entremont ( un 4 stelle leggermente fuori città in un antico maniero con parco) Il Des Augustins è da consigliare a coppie o persone dal gusto raffinato e che vogliano la tranquillità.

We stayed at this hotel with a group which occupied 17 rooms and we all found it to be a charming hotel. I would say it was one of the best three star hotels I've ever stayed in! The staff, the rooms and their presentation, the breakfasts, the ambience and the location of the hotel left nothing to be desired. I am mystified by the earlier reviews because they are so far removed from our experience. I would definitely stay there again and I'd recommend it to anyone else.
