We used to eat here fairly regularly 15 years ago but a move meant that we are now much further away. In the meantime the hotel has build some chalet style accomodation which is functional. On arrival we found a pile of dog's mess at the foot of the stairs to our chalet. Not a pleasant start. The food was mixed but mainly poor. The foie gras collation was fine except for the rubber coffee jelly. My steak was one of the best I have ever had but the accompanying vegetables were too foul to eat - lumpy mashed potatoes, cabbage boiled to within an inch of its life. My wife's monkfish was overcooked and rubbery. The puddings were unimaginative - ice cream based. The coffee was mass produced and no option of expresso was offered. It's a pity but I won't be stopping there again.

The hotel was hidden by big trees in the french countryside, on a hill so the view is amazing. We stayed in one of their log cabin style challets which was cosy and more like a suite than a room, very big room, the hotel has a private sauna and the restaurant food is to die for! Loads to do in the area and the good thing is theres not too many brits about. I loved this place, will definately go back this time next year!
