We made a last minute decision to visit Reims and the Hotel Des Arcades was the only vacancy we could find on the internet on such short notice. It is hard to find because it is not on a street. It is on a walkway between buildings. We did not arrive until 9 pm and checked in even though the lobby looked very low rent. The room was terrible - loose carpet tiles, dark, dingy. We went immediately out for dinner and while eating decided we could not spend the night in the hotel. I would rather have slept in the car. Fortunately, we had paid in cash and were given our money back. We ending up getting a room at the Grand Hotel Continental. It is a wonderful hotel with some really lovely rooms. Ours was not one of their nicest rooms, but it was more than adequate for the money and the employees were extremely nice.
