Selvadego - Venice, Italy 

We stayed in the double room for three nights: Positives: - Best location ever, it is literally around the corner from St Mark's Square, which was our favourite place in Venice. From the hotel you can explore Venice on foot or take the waterbus. - The room was clean and comfortable and had a great bathroom and shower. - There was a safe and plenty of space to put your luggage. - Plenty of restaurants close by. - Breakfast was served at their sister hotel, Hotel Monaco Grand Canal. Breakfast was simple but good quality and fantastic views of the grand canal. Wake up early, its worth it! Negatives: - Check in and out is at the Hotel Monaco Grand Canal which is much easier to find. This was not communicated to us earlier. - The staff at the check in desk at the Hotel Monaco Grand Canal were stuck up and unhelpful. Cordial at best. But it didn't matter too much because apart from checking in and out you don't have any other contact with them. The staff at the Palazzo are much more friendlier. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for sure!!

What a great hotel! We were booked here through a group tour so we did not have high exepectations. The hotel is literally around the corner from St. Marks!!! You can walk everywhere from here. There are lots of restaurants and shops close by. Some rooms are MUCH larger than others, but they were all very nice with big bathrooms. The elevator is VERY small and this is no lobby here, so space is limited. Breakfast is at the Hotel Monaco, not a problem for us as the weather was very nice. However if it was raining this might be an issue. This was the best hotel we stayed at in Italy!
