Riad Sara - Fes, Morocco 

Let me say that the interior or Riad Sara is truly beautiful and charming, for the price, a great place to stay, located on the edge of the medina. Rooms were of a fair size, clean and thoroughly enjoyeable. In terms of negatives - the Riad itself is a little difficult to find, you will have to ask a couple of people to show you the way as the signage is not adequate. The real disappointment is the customer service, it is very, very average, The majority of the staff do not speak English (really, never a problem in my books but for some that may be a hassle)...the only issue with this is that nothing was explained. When I arrived I was handed my keys, pointed to my room and that was it, no additional advice was provided. Second, the owner is quite gruff. Didn't say much, didn't speak to me at all. Third and most importantly, they ONLY accept cash as payment. No credit card payments to be made and will not provide you with a receipt. In any case, I'm not trying to back the riad because all on all the accommodation was terrific, well appointed rooms, great interior and a really good breakfast. Just be aware of the smaller things I've mentioned.
