Let's face it, the Hotel de Bordeaux isn't the hotel to which all hotels should aspire to, but it's in a great location in the heart of Bergerac and a short stroll to the old part of town - and it has parking (not free), and is great value for money.
The hotel offers an outdoor pool as well as a restaurant. Decor is modern and the room we had was fine, with a big bathroom and wall mounted LCD TV.
We stayed in January and the hotel would have been very quiet if the English Womens Rugby Team hadn't been using it as a base for their away fixture with France but many of the hotels we saw in bergerac were closed completely.
We didn't try the restaurant and instead took a short walk to the old quarter where we found Restaurant Le Saint Jacques which was excellent.
If you're expecting grandeur and glitz you'll be disappointed but if you're looking for a well-priced, well-situated choice in Bergerac this is a good bet.

Super location especially Friday night when market is outside. The owner is often on reception and ensures a friendly welcome with good command of English.
Room size quite good and en suite and clean. Ours overlooked the pool. There is parking at the back. Main centre and old historic town only a few minutes walk. Stupidly left camera in room but it was found and sent back with no bother. Pity no tea or coffeee making in room but breakfast is continental and excellent and you can boil your own egg how you like it!
Will probably regret this review as have had no trouble booking to date. John. Sevenoaks, U.K.
