The Granvelle is a traditional, old hotel situated a short walk from the main sights of Besançon. It has limited, off-road parking. There is no restuarant, but there are plenty of eateries to choose from in town. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and the room small but adequate. There was no air conditioning, so it could be very warm in summer. This hotel would not be suitable for travellers who like modern furnishings and facilities, but it was good value for the price.
