Splendid Etoile - Paris, France 

My family and I stayed at the Splendid Etoile Hotel for six nights in July 2008 and cannot over-state how wonderful a stay it was. The hotel is located just a few yards from the Arc de Triomphe and so very handy for site-seeing in this area, it is surrounded by great bars and cafes with plenty of choice but at the same time quiet and peaceful at night. Just across the road is the Charles de Gaulle Etoile metro station which meant that getting around Paris by train was very easy and handy so this hotel is perfect for the site-seeing in all the different areas of the city. The staff at the hotel were always friendly and wonderfully helpful. Special mention must go to Farooq the Chief Concierge of the hotel who was charming, helpful and friendly in everyway. If you are going to stay at the Splendid Etoile seek him out and he will help you arrange everything to make your trip to Paris a wonderful time.
