Chateau Frontenac - Paris, France

I am very surprise to read the previous comment. My experience is in line with all the other positives comments: I have been to the Chateau Frontenac at least 8 times this year (for business and for pleasure). I have to say the rooms were always very spacious with great beds, no noise( I love the double doors stopping noise from the corridor) and no hassles (I am a non smoker). The staff was always every polite, smiling and really accommodating. In a nutshell the Hotel location is fantastic (2 minutes walk from the Champs Elysees), the staff make you feel at home, the rooms are great, you can really have a good night sleep. If you are looking for a luxury hotel where you will not be disappointed. The Chateau Frontenac is definitely one of the best.

correct and unobtrusive staff. excellent stay as usual, but room was permeated with strong cigarette odor from previous occupants.

Excellent stay, we return to the hotel next time we are in Paris. The only thing which disturbed us was that the concierge has ordered without our knowing a special taxi-therefore at special price- for our ride to the airport and not, as other hotels would have done, a normal parisian taxi.

Nice but pricey!

We stayed at the Chateau Frontenac for two nights in Feb 2007. Nice hotel and decent location (just 5 mins from the Arc De Triomphe on the Champs Elysees). Quite pricey and the rooms weren't exactly huge, but then what do you expect in Paris I guess? Still, hotel was clean, service was polite and efficient so basically got what we wanted. Location-wise there were a number of bars and restaurants nearby (try the japanese just down the street - excellent food!) and plenty of metro stops in the area. Well worth considering for a short break.
