I can say what most others have said. This is a quaint hotel which was reasonably priced and had friendly service. This is not a 5 star hotel and it is not in the middle of the paris nightlife. IT IS however a great home base in a quiet and peaceful and pretty area. As others have said, the hotel was clean, the rooms were an okay size, the service was spot on, and there was a lovely open air market in mornings (thursdays and saturdays) and we found (my wife and I) the walk to the metro to be easy and we even would stop on our way to enjoy a crepe and an espresso. You almost start feeling like you live in Paris, because you're not staying in the ultra touristy areas. 10 min (walk) from some great cafes & the metro (which can take you anywhere easily) and a 20 min walk to the eiffel tower (which you can see right from the hotel at a good angel). Also a 10 min walk from Rue Cler, an excellent street with many fine shops (mostly food, yummy). I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This hotel was three blocks from a subway station in a very nice neighborhood. We only used a taxi once our entire trip! The staff was exceptional. Most of them spoke English as well as French and a few of them even spoke Spanish. Our room was very large and comfortable. The housekeeping service did a great job and we never had to ask for anything. We were in Paris celebrating our 25th anniversary. Early one morning we set out for the day and didn't return until 7:00 pm and we were exhausted. The concierge was so excited to see us as we walked into the lobby. She said that we had a very special invitation in our room but we needed to hurry. Our daughters had made reservations for us at 7:30 pm at the Tour D'Argent. The concierge changed the reservation to 8:15 and we made it! They had worked with our girls to make the reservation, kept in contact with them when the hotel couldn't locate us [our cell phones didn't work there], then let them know that we were on our way to dinner. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

The hotel stay started out rough when the hotel overbooked guests and rooms, but that was taken care of pretty quickly and we were in. The hotel was great. Amazing breakfast, the rooms were clean and very large. Amy at the desk was the absolute best!!!! There is a great Italian place just down by the Metro stop which was our best meal in Paris. It has a great location, fun market in the street out in front--the hotel IS a little hard to find the first time, but it is a hidden gem.
