First Hotel Garden - Malmo, Sweden     

This hotel is right in the centre of Malmo - so superb location wise. However the hotel itself needs to be refurbished. The furniture and the decor is dated. The carpets don't look too clean but I got a room with wood flooring which was much better. The curtains are so thin that I woke up by 5am everyday as it was too bright in my room. There is no air con so the rooms can get very hot and it can be noisy if you leave your window open. The shower rooms are very small but looked clean enough. On the bright side, there is free wireless internet throughout the hotel. The amenities in the room and hotel can't be faulted. Breakfast was ok. And the lady at reception was also super helpful and friendly. Overall this hotel is just very ok.

A nice homey hotel, excellent location and helpful staff. Despite the frilly decor and tiny bathrooms everything was in excellent working condition and comfortable. Rooms overlook an enclosed garden which added a nice touch of tranquility. The breakfast spread was very good. Wifi is available at no additional cost and there’s a computer for guests in the lobby. Many restaurants, banks & shops around the corner and only a 5 minute walk from the central train station. An excellent choice if you can do without the wow factor.
