Not many go to Sassari. We did and used it as a base to visit Alghero and then go north to Santa Teresa and in many ways we were glad that we did. We contacted the hotel directly by telephone - one of the receptionists speaks good English and is very helpful in local information and bus timetables. I think there are various special offers for the hotel - we got a weekend special offer at 70 euro a night including breakfast. The hotel is in an old building, but once inside you wouldn't know as it has been completely renovated - maybe too much as it would have been nice if more of the old building was visible. The double room we got was very clean, very comfortable - basically like a business hotel you would find anywhere in the world. In some ways this was nice as some of the hotels we had stayed had been full of 'character'. Breakfast was quite good - buffet with good coffee including refills. Sassari - worth a half day to walk around and it has some nice restaurants. Da Antonia is worth checking out although their menu was quite limited when we went - lots of insides on offer plus some delicious snails!

I stayed at this hotel last year. It's a nice hotel. It could be a 4 star but I think it is a 3 star because of the size of its rooms (a bit small). The rooms are very clean and well decorated (nothing special but tasteful). Breakfast was correct. We paid 70 ?/night. I recommend going to Sassari a nice place with nice people (somtehing you can't find at the sardinian coast).
