"Good Value, Friendly Staff" Posted: Mon, Nov 23 2009

We booked our Paris weekend through lastminute.com and including return travel from London on the Eurostar and three nights in the hotel, the cost for two was ?377. When, at the last minute, our 11 year old daughter ended up accompanying us, the hotel staff was very understanding and provided a room with three beds. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were. Overall, we were quite happy with the hotel. It has been recently refurbished, although the style is a bit odd, and everything was clean and in good order. The staff were all cheerful and helpful (not a given in Paris) and we appreciated the free light breakfast every day. We enjoyed staying in a typical middle class French neighbourhood, rather than the more touristy areas and found a couple of excellent restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hote. To get into the centre of Paris you can take the No. 4 Metro or the No. 38 bus, which we preferred. The bus from the hotel to Luxemburg Gardens took about 20 minutes.
Beautiful hotel... Higly recomended. Not exactly in downtown, but 50 mts from Metro station. Cool people and great attention. The only thing... Breakfast is ok but TOO expensive!!!
Realy modern instalation, not depresive at all!
Enjoy this hotel, I would come back for sure.
This hotel, while the colors used in the decor were a little interesting (purple, magenta, orange) was pretty clean. The site itself was very convenient as the metro line was on the corner and you could get to all points of interest in central Paris within about 20 minutes. The front desk/reception employees were very nice and helpful, and the views from the rooms were amazing. There were several cafes and boulangeries within a couple of blocks, so eating in the area was easy. This hotel was a good deal as we paid a fraction of what we could have paid for a hotel a little closer to Notre Dame, and we suffered no real inconvenience.
The majority of the staff was friendly and helpful with a few exceptions, whose rudeness made a lasting impression. The hotel was purple and leopard, amazingly tacky, and reeked of mothballs to point that I had difficulty sleeping. The only plus was the proximity to the metro.
