My Wife and I stayed here one night as a stopover on the way to Plymouth to catch a ferry.Tucked away in lovely countryside,it is in a very quiet and peaceful location.It stayed quiet(unlike for some previous reporters) and we had a good nights sleep in a comfortable room which had everything we needed.But something was not quite right-is it olde world or just plain dated?We felt the same about the restaurant.It looks tired and the style of food is from an earlier time.For our purpose it was OK but I wouldn't wanted to have spent any longer than one night.

I booked a room in good faith over the internet, received a booking confirmation and even handed over my credit card details.
No sooner had my booking been confirmed that I receive an e-mail stating that the booking had been revoked as they had oversubscribed. This was a massive oversight by the management, yet the customer loses out!
A shame really, as my wife and I were looking forward to staying.
