Located on a quiet, traffic-free street, the hotel’s attractive original building was formerly a convent and once housed the village school. Today, the building boasts bright, spacious, airy accommodation, fully-equipped with all the modern comforts and facilities you need to enjoy a restful, relaxing holiday. There are just 8 rooms, guaranteeing guests peace and tranquillity and a friendly familiar atmosphere. Petit Hotel Fornalutx was just perfect for us, we wanted a few days chill out somewhere small and chic in the sun in our favourite part of Mallorca without paying La Residencia at Deia prices( where we usually stay and love), and this hotel gave us all that we needed. A lovely large bedroom and sitting room with terrace a stones throw from the pretty gardens, that overlook orange groves, a fab help yourself breakfast -eggs, bacon, yoghurts, freshly squeezed orange juice, delicious breads and pastries, serrano ham, cheeses, cherries, melon, pineapple and so on... a well stocked `honesty` bar to dip into all day, and a tiny but perfect pool and a shaded jacuzzi to cool off in. Lots of space and privacy in th egarden to simply lie in the sun ( or shade) , chill out and read, with the only sounds being the splash of the pool, the water sprinkler and the cockerels clucking under the citrus trees. We like the great selection of CDs and the simply stylish decor. We walked into the village each night to sit in the square and stare and drink...wereally loved Cafe Med--see review-in the village, and the furthest we roamed was on our second night to get the tram from Soller to Porto Soller and drink gin and tonics in the fab retro chic Hotel Esplendido....before heading back there for supper in the garden at the art nouveau La Vila......
