The Adams Inn is not fancy or new, but it is immaculately clean and my 2 daughters and I had a wonderful stay. The room had 2 double beds, a larger dorm-style fridge and coffee maker. If you're looking for flat screen TVs, marble and granite in the bathroom and high-end bedding, this isn't the hotel for you, but it was clean, quiet and the staff was great. Outdoor pool area is small but the water absolutely sparkled and it was wonderfully relaxing to enjoy a drink by the pool overlooking the Neponset River. We enjoyed a lobster dinner that was delicious and was included with the room package we booked. Hotel is a quick drive to the N. Quincy T Station for easy access to Boston. There is a complimentary shuttle, or it is walkable, but I wouldn't walk it at night. Free continental breakfast was minimal, but the coffee was hot and fresh, and we all found something to satisfy us. I can't say enough about how friendly the staff was; I almost felt like I was a guest in someone's home rather than in a hotel.

Considering the very affordable price of a stay at the Adams Inn, we were surprised to find how nice it was. The breakfast was complimentary and consisted of bagels, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. There was a tea/coffee station available for free drinks throughout the day as well as free access to a computer and printer in the lobby. The room was a good size with a fridge and tv and looked out on to the river (across the river was the freeway but we didn't notice any noise from it). Bathroom was very clean and shower had good water pressure. All the staff were friendly and directed us to the nearest T station (about 10 mins walk) or local attractions. The free parking was a bonus! We left the car at the hotel and took the T to Boston/Cambridge which only took about half an hour and cost $9 for a day ticket. I would definitely recommend the Best Western Adams Inn to anyone visting Boston who would like to avoid the city centre but still feel close to the action.
