Hotel Traiano - Civitavecchia, Italy     

We were on a Carnival Cruise and spent the night before we sailed at the Hotel Traiano. The hotel was excellent. We had a suite and we still only paid 145 euro for the night. The room was spotless and very comfortable. They provided a car from the Rome Airport to the hotel and a very reasonable rate as well as a free shuttle service to the port. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. If you are spending 1 night in Civitavecchia before cruising this is the place to go.

We stayed in the hotel the night before our cruise and it was a great hotel. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were brilliant nothing was too much for them. Also we organised with the hotel for them to pick us up from the aiport and they were in the arrivals hall waiting for us and the transfer went smoothly. Also the transfer to the cruise ship is also a real plus for staying here as well. We had not organised a transfer from the cruise ship into Rome for ourselves and we asked at the hotel and they organised it for us no problem and have to compliment the guy who picked us up from the ship and brought us to Rome as we had booked an apartment and were struggling to get through to the office on the phone and he phoned for us and spoke to them and stayed with us until the guy arrived which was brilliant. A great hotel and if I am going on a cruise again from Rome I will be staying there
