Hotel Del Corso details: The Hotel del Corso is located in Sorrento, nearby the central Piazza Tasso. 100 m from the Train and Bus Station. Only 10 minutes walking from the port, where boats leave to Naples, Capri and the other islands of the Gulf. Furthermore the beach of Marina Piccola is only 150 m. The Hotel is at the second floor of the 18th Century historical building Palazzo De Gregorio and faces the main street Corso Italia and the historical center of Sorrento. Last Century, the building was private place of residence of the noble family De Gregorio. Today's owners, the Marciano family, transformed it in an intimate and familiar Hotel, trying to keep the original style of the ancient building. The Hotel has been recently restyled; the entrance is at 2nd floor with private lift.

Great location, good breakfasts, large rooms. Only downside was indifference of staff. Helpfull but not overly friendly. Having said that, we would stay there again.

We stayed at the Hotel Del Corso for 3 nights in June. The walk from the train station wasn't too far (10 min. or so). The hotel was easy to find on the main street in town. They have a little elevator to get to the lobby. Our service was fine, some of the clerks were friendlier than the others. One of them managed to line us up with a private driver for a tour of the Amalfi coast, which turned out to be one of my favorite trips. We really enjoyed the roof top terrace. We bought our own beer and wine and sat upstairs. There were plastic cups in the room. We also liked that they had a computer upstairs to use for the internet that was fairly reasonably priced. The location was great, right in the middle of town close to restaurants, stores, the water and the dock for the hydrofoil.
