Los Patos - Benalmadena, Spain     

De lo mejorcito que he conocido en cuanto a hoteles, magnifica comida, muy variada y de calidad. El desayuno sencillamente espectacular, en hoteles de 5 estrellas no he visto ni la mitad de variedad. La habitaciòn y el cuarto de baño en buenas condiciones, y muy importante, los colchones bastante nuevos y firmes. Situado cerca de la playa, quizás le falta algo de aparcamiento. Lo peor es que los ascensores están muy masificados y si te toca una planta alta más vale que le eches paciencia. Pero esto no desmerece en absoluto mi opinión del hotel, el cual recomiendo totalmente.

I stayed at the Los Patos as a single traveller for a week in September and could not find fault. I understand the hotel has undergone a recent refurbishment because it gave the appearance of a brand new hotel. The reception area was very smart and the staff courteous and professional. The room was very spacious and had a large and modern bathroom. The balcony overlooked the pool area and although there was a lot of development work going on around I did not find this off putting and most of the work should be near completion in a couple of months. There was a TV in the room but only one channel in English (Eurosport) and there was a maid service every day. The dining room was very large and clean and I thought the food was excellent better than most 4 star establishments in the area. There is no drinks service, but there is a bar where you can purchase drinks with your meal, and the staff are polite and helpful. The hotel pool area was very large as was the pool and there did not seem to be the usual frantic competition for loungers and there was also a large landscaped garden area. There is a poolside bar serving the usual snacks and drinks and the pool area is open 9am - 8pm. The bar in the hotel is open until midnight and entertainment is provided every evening. The hotel is located about a 5 - 10 minute walk to the beach and is surrounded by many bars and restaurants. All in all this was a very pleasant experience and I would not hesitate to recommend the Los Patos to my family and friends and I would most certainly stay here again.
