Apponyi Kastelyszallo - Hogyesz, Hungary 

The Hotel is very expensive, the web site in German language provides wrong information about the prices. Rooms with no personal touch, the furniture was chipped and placed in the room in no style. Restaurant was not tasty at all and expensive, the restaurant accross the street was much better with better offer and half prices. The Hotel is placed in the middle of the village, the main road is visible from the hotel rooms, very noisy place.

first of all, it is located in Hőgyész (30km from Szekszárd) and not Pécs, as tripadvisor suggested. It is way too expensive, we paid EUR 160 per apartment w/ breakfast. Although the rooms were airy, but tired furniture and lack of style (terrible paintings in the room as well as on the walls of the corridor), restaurant awful, food and service like 30 years ago in Hungary. We could not get dinner ("sorry restaurant fully booked today"). Nice swimming pool, and wellness but there was no enough bed, so we should walk back to our room to rest... According to the history of this castle it was used - among others - as a refugee camp, a hospital. Unfortunately, the evidences are clearly seen... Avoid this place, massively overpriced for low service quality.
