In the perfect peace and quiet of the countryside, you'll have an enjoyable stay whether relaxing by Balestié lake or taking advantage of the many outdoor activities available nearby. From the auberge you'll admire the magnificent view of the Pyrenees, of the château of Montségur and of the lake and horses in the meadow opposite.

I have traveled extensively over the last 30 years, and have stayed in many places including 4 and 5 star hotels, but Auberge du Balestie provided me with my best experience ever. The hosts Dave and Sylvia are wonderfully warm and friendly, and were always ready to help. The rooms are comfortable and well serviced, the restaurant was great, and the views of the Pyrenees are unbelievable. The surrounding area is wonderfully picturesque. Prices are more than reasonable. We originally booked for 4 nights and ended up staying for nearly 2 weeks.
