This hotel is clean and fair for what we paid. The rooms are very small, but you can see that in the photos on their webiste. The bathroom was very nice and the water pressure and temperature in the shower were good too. Beds were comfortable. No street noise. Our room had a view of a back alley, which wasn't very nice but it didn't matter. I would like to have a whinge about their breakfast. Its in a tiny cellar, with not enough seats for the amount of people staying in the hotel. One morning we were told sorry we're full, and told to go away for an hour. The food for breakfast is stale pastries and warm milk and cereal. Other than that, great location and a clean hotel.

My family and I stayed at this hotel 3 nights at the end of February 2008. The location is superb, just next to the Madeleine Square - metro and bus stops-, in a little side street with little traffic. The Galeries Laffayette, Opera and Place de la Concorde are 5 minutes walk away, as are the chic boutiques on Fauburg Saint Honore. The welcome by the staff was not very warm, but good enough. The hotel is very small, but with very nice details. We had 2 standard rooms, one interior with a small window looking into an inner courtyard and the other room with a french window overlooking the rue de L'arcade. Double glazing very effective, no noise from the street whatsoever. Central heating in all the hotel was a little too high, but we opened the window for a while for fresh air and it was fine. The beds and linens really are great ! Slept like logs every time. The cleanliness very good. Bathroom in one of the rooms was a bit tight, but no big deal. Bathtubs with shower, great water pressure and temperature. Decor in the rooms very pretty in french style and nice little touches like makeup mirror in both the bathroom and nightstand, small containers of q-tips and cotton balls, nice hairdryer -not your usual vacuum hose-type...- bowls of potpourri, and the mandarine liqueur. Big flat screen tv, with french tv channels, some english and german, one italian , but no spanish channel. The breakfast room is small, but no line to wait -probably because it's low season still-, very nice decor and confortable seating , pretty good variety, the little croissants are great, nice staff. The hotel's website pictures are true, but keep in mind they make it look bigger than it really is. All in all, a very good experience for the rate we got, about 130 Euros breakfast included through an online agency. The hotel feels like a 4 star very small hotel, but it is really cozy and comfortable and feels like a home from home.
