While doing a language course in Paris for 4 weeks I spent the whole time staying in this estabishment and wanted to offer something helpful to people thinking to stay there. If you don't mind the journey to and from La Defense then the distance is okay (use R.E.R line B), but be aware it's not in a location you can pop back to easily. Once you leave in the morning it's a bit of a pain to come back and leave again (be aware that this is coming from a young energetic person, too) - specially if you are walking a lot in the city centre, anyway. Be aware it's not Paris, as you think of Paris - it's the business district, all modern and tower blocks. The place itself is, too be honest, not very good. Unless you are on a real budget i think staying in town is worth it. The rooms are small, the kitchens aren't very well equiped, my room looked out to a pedestrainised square where all the kids from the surrounding estates play making loads of noise, 4 out of 4 people i knew all had bad backs from the beds, the service varies from bad to friendly - but never good (Good luck if you do not speak french, by the way!). En plus, the bathroom was full of an indestructable army of ants and the TV lost its volume halfway through the stay but I had already complained about so many things (such as, the electricity sockets in the room not working opon arrival, and the lack of a bin) that I was too embarressed to make further requirements and complaints, which really isn't how you should feel when paying for somewhere. I know I've been quite negative about the place, but I think the Citea group need this negative feedback because that's about as much as the customer can do in form of complaint that affects them. Also, i don't know if the practise is the same for short stay customers but i had to pay a ?245 deposit on the room when I arrived which I've never had asked at a hotel before - certainly not for that much, anyway. Quite unsettling. Stay with an independant family run place in town if you can, is my opinion.

this is the biggest flea pit we have ever had the unfortunate pleasure of having to stay in, my advise to any one wishing to stay in paris stay well clear of this hotel. the staff are mostly all miserable the room is a total disgrace nothing works properly, the shower, the sink, you sit on the toilet and hit your elbows on the sink and the wall what a delight? the room is generally grubby, just like the staff and the continental breakfast is amazingly poor bread, croissant ta or coffee it's crap. most tourist attractions are good but quite a distance from this hotel, good job really it may put people of the attractions!, so do your self a favour DO NOT STAY HERE AT THE ADDAMS FAMILY HOTEL.
