3This hotel is great for its proximity to Gare deLyon train station ie a few minutes walk to the RER/Metro trains, so you can be in the middle of Paris in under 10 minutes.
There were a couple of local supermarkets nearby within a 10minute walk, so it was good to get some supplies. The train station itself was great for lunch, with lots of baguettes, pastries, drinks available.
The hotel and rooms are very modern, bed was huge and comfortable, water pressure excellent in shower.
My main disappointment is the level of noise that could be heard eg every door that closed (slammed shut) around us could easily be heard. At one point early in the morning I wondered what a particular noise was behind my pillows thru the wall - I then realised someone was stirring their coffee vigorously with their spoon in the room next door. For a 4 star hotel I guess I expected to be a little bit 'cocooned' from noise. We were far down a corridor so we at least did not have to put up with any nearby lifts (that would 'ding' each time reaching a floor).
The restaurant was quite pricey and although we tried to entertain the waiting staff with our limited French, there was a lot that was lost in translation - however the Front Desk lobby staff were always more than helpful, had excellent English and more than happy to assist with our touristy questions.
