Comfort Hotel Andre Latin - Paris, France     

When we arrived at this hotel in the early am there was a slight mix up with our reservations. We paid double upon check-in, but the matter was cleared up shortly and my credit card was credited the extra payment. The rooms are definitely on the smaller side, which is nothing unusual for Europe, but everything is clean and tidy. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room (probably not the case) than this may not be the place for you. The only time we spent in our room was to sleep, rest our feet, or shower, and for this the hotel is more than adequate. Not once did we feel unsafe; the neighborhood (Latin Quarter) is quiet and friendly. There are tons of restaurants in the area, cheap and expensive, and even in the summer a noticeable amount of students. Very close to the Luxemburg train station which is great not only for getting to and from the airport, but for transfering to other lines within the city. The Luxembourg Gardens are a very short walk away and a great place to stroll or have a picnic. Walking to sites like Notre Dame, Saint Chappelle, the Louvre, and the Pantheon are not a short walk but easily do-able. If not pressed for time, walking to most of these attractions is pleasant. Overall I highly recommend this hotel. It's nothing extravagant, but the location is great and the price is generally favorable.

I have stayed at this hotel twice. I was there in 2004 with 12 high school students for 16 days and I just returned over the Thanksgiving holiday for a four night stay. This hotel is nothing fancy, bring your own shampoo and soap and also a travel alarm clock is helpful. The front desk is very helpful and their English is excellent. The location is key and it is two blocks from the Luxembourg RER stop, which makes it very easy to get to and from the airport. This is a very simple, clean, affordable hotel.
