Grand Hotel Du Palais Royal - Paris, France     

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel for 8 days while in Paris. Though the room was not large, it was more then sufficient. The bedding is to die for --down pillows and comforters. So comfortable and inviting after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The Breakfast room was neat, clean and very welcoming. The selections served were excellent. The staff was always pleasent and so very helpful. As far as location -- we were so pleased. Two blocks from the Louve. We could walk to Ile de la Cite, all the museums, even the metro was at the end of the block. If you are going to Paris to see the sights -- this hotel is perfectly situated for you.

My wife and I spent 1 night here and were more than happy with it. Our recently refurb'd room was fantastic - very new, very stylish and large (ask for room 403). There seems to be a slow refurb going on at the moment, standing in the corridor, our room had a completely different door and the wallpaper/carpet had been changed in the area of our room, every other door/decor was rather dated. so it seems that they are doing the place up room by room. The breakfast was fine, decent selection and lots of it, the restaurant was a little dated. The staff were knowledgeable and more than helpful and happy to answer any queries we had. The location is what makes the place so good - 100m from the Louvre Metro station, we were able walk pretty much anywhere we wanted.
