4I stayed at the Montalembert with a friend in December. We had a twin bedded Suite on the first floor and it was absolutely superb. Lovely entrance, loads of hanging space, safe, well stocked mini bar, very comfortable sitting room with excellent flat screen etc. The bathroom was lovely as well, lovely towelling robes, slippers, Molton Brown (one of my favourites) etc. The lavatory was separate - by the entrance door which was nice in some ways but meant bit of trape backwards and forwards, so to speak.
When we returned our first evening we were greeted by a delicious bottle of champagne and chocolates and a personal note from the Manager.
The staff, well, they are the best. So helpful, nothing too much trouble, booking restaurants, a driver for us, carrying things up and down to and from the Suite - nothing was too much trouble.
We did not eat in the hotel as we had such a long list of eateries etc to try - I will write about our experiences in the restaurant section - but we did have drinks in the lovely little bar area with warm fire, lovely lights and flowers.
I am sorry if people found the other rooms small and would strongly recommend finding some extra Euros and have 'a Suite experience' at this hotel which will make your stay in Paris even more memorable.
My thanks again to everyone at the Montalembert and we cannot wait to visit the hotel again.
