We made reservations for three nights at this hotel. On the third day (our wedding anniversary), we returned to find our bags in the lobby, having been packed by staff. A nasty clerk told us they had never received our email confirmation. I then presented our printed confirmation for three nights. The clerk rolled her eyeballs and said there was nothing she could do as the room was already occupied. She was completely unapologetic and dismissive. After sitting for two hours while she made a feeble attempt to find another hotel, I started looking myself on the net and made my own reservations (a very difficult task as it was Rugby and Fashion Week). It was our last night, so this was truly a disappointing way to leave Paris. In the end, after much arguing and unpleasantness, the manager gave us one night's stay free. Not worth the hassle. Have a drink at l'Hotel (because it truly is an interesting spot) and stay elsewhere.

My boyfriend proposed to me at L'Hotel and he couldn't have picked a better place. The hotel is full of wonderful details (genius idea to have a mini wave pool in the basement), but the best part is definitely the people who work there - everyone we came across were lovely and helpful.
We booked the Bijou room, which was small but the bed was extremely comfy. Next time, I would love to try one of the bigger rooms.
The location is excellent - walking distance to most of the usual tourist sites and the street it is located on (pretty much next to the Ecole des Beaux Arts) is very chic.
Even if you don't stay here, the restaurant is a must-try. The food and service are excellent (the fig dessert - yum). My fiance is a vegetarian and he says the chef whipped up the tastiest veggie dish he has ever had.
Thanks to L'hotel for making it such a special stay for us. We'll definitely be back!
