Note negative
Note positive

The noise could get a bit much, but due to the hotels position could not be avoided; so no gripe there. The bathroom was quite small. One final thing one of our two rooms smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, maybe an air freshener would be a good idea. Value for money and situation could not be faulted though, and free parking on the doorstep (we stayed in August) was a bonus. I would recommend this hotel if you have a limited budget and even if you don't. We have stayed there before and will again.

The worst hotel I ever stayed in.
I chose Aux Trois Portes because of very low rate and a nice location in Paris, but I realised that the price is not everything..
The hotel is not clean, rooms are very small, very noisy street and no aircondition -you must sleep with opened window in summer- but it wasn't the worst. Cleaning staff (black women) was totally bad, they disturbed us every morning, if we were sleeping at bout 11 o'clock and they knew it, they nevertheless were trying to open the door and they were knocking for few minutes. So I had to get up and give them our towels or a full bin. Totally unprofessional from them!!!
And the worst thing happened the last night (at am!!) when their fire alarm started. We thought that there is a fire somewhere in the hotel so we wanted to leave the hotel, but we the receptionist and he said the alarm system is broken and everything is OK. But it was impossible to sleep and the sound lasted about half an hour. We met very scared parents holding their small baby in front of the hotel, maybe ten guys left the hotel during this night.. It was the worst experience which happened to me in Paris..:-(
My advise: Choose other cheap hotel, this one is the worst choice...
