Aux Trois Portes - Paris, France     

We stayed there this summer and loved it. We stayed in a Quad roon and were happy with the overall size, cleanliness, staff and safety. Close to Bastille metro and accessible to eateries. The staff was very helpful and spoke English. Special mention for Mary - who was always the most helpful. For business I stay in major 4-star hotels, in the US and around the world, but enjoyed this personalized small hotel feel for this vacation. Highly recommended.

Booking a hotel online without ever having seen it is a sketchy proposition at times, and I was especially worried after reading some of the reviews I had seen of this hotel on this site. However, when we got there, we really felt that we had lucked out! Our room was huge (a triple) right in the corner of the hotel, so we had what was probably the best view. Everything was clean (although slightly shabby) and the hotel staff are very helpful (providing us with extra towels and giving directions to attractions). I especially liked the hotel's location - only a 5 min. walk to the Bastille and less than that to the closest metro stop. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Paris on a budget!
