Libertel Canal Saint Martin - Paris, France

The hotel has a great location in relation to whats around the area. It is located right by the now chic Canal St Martin, and just steps away from the metro (Jaures). There is a Monoprix (french supermarket) just a few meters away, and plenty of places to grab a bite. And if you are one of those that won't try the local food, there is a McDonald's just across the street. The rooms are typical for a French hotel, small, but clean. The rooms have wi-fi, and a TV, and good luck finding a hotel like that for around 70euros. The staff is great, just keep in mind you are in Europe and not in the states where you expect everyone to ask you "how are things?" every 2 minutes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is visiting Paris for a second time unless you don't mind the few metros you must take to get to the sites.

Sehr gute Lage, gute Metro-Anbindung, Gerade renovierte Zimmer mit funktionierender Klimaanlage. Kaffee und Tee- Aufbereitungsmöglichkeit auf dem Zimmer-Gute Idee.Insgesamt gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Very Basic

The Libertel Canal Saint Martin is a very basic hotel. We had a standard room, which was very small. The bathroom was also small and certainly in need of a renovation or at least repainting. The room got too warm at night as there was no airco. And worse, we could not leave our window open, because we were sleeping on the ground floor and the window was so low that anyone could easily get in... The staff is friendly, but housekeeping only cleaned our room at around 17h00 which we found relatively late. Buffet is simple and can be compared to other similar French hotels. Location is not really good, but close to the metro so you can easily escape this part of the city.
