"A Boutique Hotel That's an Oasis"

I read some of the later reviews on this boutique hotel, and wondered whether others had stayed at the same hotel we had. This is not a big hotel, nor does it have a full service restaurant (breakfast only), but it does have quiet and a nice intimate atmosphere. Our room was small (but it is Paris!) but very well appointed. It is in a quiet section a couple blocks from the river and just a couple blocks from the high fashion boutiques for most of the famous labels. We went no further than looking into the windows of these shops, but there are a number of good restaurants and cafes in the area. You can also get to the both the Louve and the Eiffel Tower with a nice walk. Also, the subway stop is only a block and a half away. We found the staff to be very nice and helpful. The front desk personnel are multilingual, but a little French with them seemed to bring a big smile. We considered this hotel to be an oasis for a week, and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Gem of a Hotel

My daughter and I stayed at the Melia Royal Alma Hotel for three nights in May 2008. We found the hotel to be exceptionally clean, and the staff to be out-of-their-way kind and friendly. They were helpful in every way to make our stay a pleasant one. Yes, the rooms are on the small side. This is Paris. However, they are quiet, restful, and very well appointed. The bathroom was spotless, and all toiletries were offered. There was an abundance of towels. Breakfast was extraordinary for such a small hotel. A vast assortment of fruits, cereals, and pastries were available, as well as hot foods. Our waitress helped us with our elementary French, and we all had a good laugh. Water, infused with mint leaves, was available daily in the lobby. My daughter and I were glad to have such a pleasant room, and hotel atmosphere awaiting us at the end of a long day of sight-seeing. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

After we went to Disneyland Paris, we wanted to stay a few nights in the city centre of Paris as well. I am really so glad we choose this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect. If you walk out of the hotel and look to your left, you can directly see the Eiffel Tower. Lots of nice restaurants and terraces in the neighboorhood. Also just 10 minutes walking to world-famous Champs Elysees. The staff is really perfect and willing to do almost anything you need. Breakfast had lots of choice, and when they were out of something, you could ask and had it in 5 minutes. The rooms are really boutique/old french, with a modern bathroom. Room was also well cleaned every day! On my next trip to Paris definately this hotel again!
