Best Western Au Manoir St. Germain Posted: Sat, May 16 2009

We spent 8 nights here from Apr. 26, 2009. It was clean, comfortable, and in that time we dealt with several different desk, housekeeping, and breakfast room staff. Without exception they were friendly and helpful and made us very comfortable. The location is fabulous, easy walking distance from many of the must-sees, and I would return in a heartbeat!
We stayed at Au Manoir for 3 nights. As I recall, we made reservations through an online travel agency. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very rude woman who told us that the rate we were quoted was impossible and wanted to charge us a much higher rate. Fortunately, I had the reservation in hand. She still would not accept it. I told her that was what we were told and she would have to take it up with the online travel agency. The room was adequate but nothing like the pictures and about the same as it was many years ago when we stayed there when it was a 2 star at a much cheaper price and with much nicer staff. Also, they watched us like hawks at bkfst so we did not get too much to eat.
The hotel is in a prime location but I would not grace their doors again for love nor money. I have never been so rudely treated in France as I was at this hotel and I visit quite often.
I would advise anyone who reads this to heed my advice and look elsewhere for a room as there are many in the area that we have stayed in for the same price and have had much better service and treatment.
Under renovation until June 2008 Posted: Mon, Mar 10 2008 My favorite hotel in Paris is under renovation....Yes, the rooms were a bit on the small side, but the staff and the location cannot be beat. But, the whole hotel and rooms are under renovation until June 2008, even enlarging the smallest rooms (they heard us!!). Keep in mind that everything is on the small side in Europe, but I know that this hotel will really pull it off to open to the great hotel that it is once renovated. See http://hotelaumanoirsaint.free.fr/ (no, I do not work for this hotel, just a traveler who stays here each time I visit Paris)
Been there 1 night only, 4 stars are not for the hotel itself, but for the location, as i spoke with the guy on the front desk and he told me.I had to ask for a cattle, they did gave me one, but even hotels 2 stars have cattles in the rooms, the key didnt fit the fridge, the room was small, view in some poor yeard, all the hotel is like in the end of the 19 century, but kind of creapy and scary. Breakfast not bad,but not the money they ask for anyway.Toilet the smallest i have ever seen, shower old and not good.Beds ok, but the 3th was unusable anyway. Not recomending to anyone.
