Hotel Chaplain - Paris, France     

My teenaged daughter and I spent two nights at this hotel just after Bastille Day. Compared to hotels in the States the rooms are tiny, but it is charming and I found the hotel staff to be friendly and all able to speak enough English that we didn't have any problems being understood. The lift is so small that only one of us with one suitcase could fit in at a time! We tried the breakfast on our first morning and found it to be really enjoyable and the coffee was great! The location is good and I would agree that the street noise is a little noticable, but I felt it added to the charm of Paris. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a moderately priced hotel in central Paris.

We are senior citizens who just returned from Paris. We stayed at the Hotel Chaplain for 5 nights and were very satisfied. I had booked the hotel over the internet and was not sure what we would find but were very pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and had what appeared to be a new bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Initially thought the 8 Euro charge for breakfast was high but soon found out we could not get as much for that price outside the hotel. Breakfast choices were, croissants and french bread (that were delicious) , orange juice, yougurt and choice of 4 cereals, plus all the coffee we wanted to drink.Location was also great for the metro and for restaurants.Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
